Knicks' Anthony out against Thunder with sore left knee

NEW YORK (AP) - Carmelo Anthony is missing the Knicks' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder because of a sore left knee.

Anthony began feeling pain in his surgically repaired knee last week after New York played a double-overtime and an overtime game. He played just 29 minutes Saturday in a loss at Charlotte, and though both he and the Knicks hoped he would return Tuesday, coach Derek Fisher says the team's leading scorer was still feeling soreness.

Fisher says the Knicks will continue to evaluate and treat Anthony and didn't know how long he would be out. Lance Thomas, who missed the previous three games with a sore left knee, returned and took Anthony's place in the starting lineup.

For the Thunder, starting center Steven Adams returned from a sprained right elbow that was expected to keep him out at least two more games. Starting guard Andre Roberson is out with a sprained right knee and will be replaced by Dion Waiters.
