Marco's Pizza opens newest location in Cary

Marco's Pizza, which opened for business Dec. 27, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for their newest location. The ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at 3106 Three Oaks Road, next to Family Video. Hoogland Foods, dba Marco's Pizza is owned by Highland Ventures Ltd., parent company to Family Video and Stay Fit 24 also in the Cary retail complex. This location will be one of more than 100 locations open next to a Family Video since June 2012, making it the largest franchisee of Marco's Pizza. The company plans to welcome another 50 locations nationwide in the next four to eight months.

"Opening a Marco's Pizza next door to our video store is a natural fit," said Keith Hoogland, president of Family Video and Hoogland Foods, dba Marco's Pizza. "Having a Family Video and a Marco's Pizza in the same location saves families time. We're creating value and convenience for our customers by having both services available in the same place."

Marco's Pizza will offer both carryout and delivery services. The proximity to the Family Video store will give customers the ability to pick up their movies and dinner without having to make multiple stops. Families also can order a movie for delivery with their pizza, by going online at marcos.com and placing their order for both pizza and a movie.

Family Video and Marco's Pizza both pride themselves on the exceptional experiences and value offered to their customers. Marco's Pizza's menu features the company's Ah!thentic Italian pizza, Cheezybread, chicken wings, fresh-baked subs, meatballs, handmade salads, soft drinks and more. Marco's was founded in 1978 by Italian born, Pasquale ("Pat") Giammarco and is committed to making Italian Pizza with fresh, never frozen cheese or dough.

"This exciting partnership has transformed Family Video into a 'one-stop shop' for dinner and entertainment, while maximizing the potential of our locations" said Hoogland. "Reaching this milestone signifies a bright future as we continue to revolutionize the movie rental industry with the backing of the nation's fastest growing pizza franchise."

Because Highland Ventures owns most of its real estate, the company has the ability to easily convert existing retail space into a brand of its choice. Marco's Pizza, now the fastest growing pizza company in the U.S. is an ideal partner, as the brands share an almost identical customer base and priority of customer service.

Having both locations under one roof gives customers the unique ability to pick up their movies and dinner without having to make multiple stops. The authentic Italian pizza chain has an order window inside most Family Video locations for easy carryout service. For the delivery customer, Family Video offers delivery of movies with online pizza orders, providing busy families a more convenient way to enjoy fresh, artisan pizza and their favorite movie in the comfort of their own home.
