Tickets available for Fox Country Players' concert fundraiser, auction

Tickets are available for "A Night of Broadway," Fox Country Players' annual fundraiser concert and silent auction on Saturday, Feb. 6.

The evening's festivities are directed by Plano resident Meg McGarry. This year's theme is "Classic Broadway."

Imagine a glorious evening filled with your favorites from Broadway's golden era. Songs included in the program were featured in "Gypsy," "Guys & Dolls," "The King & I," "My Fair Lady," "Fiddler on the Roof," "Kiss Me Kate," "Showboat," "Oklahoma," "Cinderella," along with many other favorites.

Local, regional, and professional performers donate their time to help raise money for this great cause by performing in this fantastic concert.

The cast includes: Jean Austin, Stan Austin, Andy Dameron, Erin Dameron, Eric Downs, Jessica Fanucchi, Terry Foster, Brenda Gilmore, Robert Griegoliet, Kevin Gum, Rod Kelly, Karen Leifheit, Michele McClane, Mike McHugh, Eliseo Martinez, Zoe Michaels, Nick Miesuk, Nika Morton, Emily Neumann, Dan Rosier, Kim Schomer, Ella Schuler, Allison Scigalski, Jason Sheldon, Emily Sites, Paula Svendsen, Stuart Vance, Michele Wade, David Watson, Matt Weaver, Jen Whittington, Chris Williams, Lindsey Burke, Shannon Burke, Rose McGarry, Abigail Muner, and Ella Schuler.

"A Night of Broadway" benefits Fox Country Players' Theatre Arts Academy, which will be held this year at Waubonsee Community College in July.

During the concert, the theme for the 2016 academy will be announced, as well as the productions the academy students will be performing.

"This year's academy is going to be the best one yet with a new facility and a wonderful stage to perform on. I can't wait to tell everyone what the plans are," said 2016 co-director and "A Night of Broadway" performer Jen Whittington.

The concert will take place Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ, 409 Center Parkway.

The doors open at 6 p.m. for the silent auction, with the show beginning at 7 p.m.

Reserved seat tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at www.foxcountryplayers.org or at the door.
