Great Lakes Credit Union has announced that applications for its 2016 Education Scholarships are now being accepted. Students may apply anytime between Jan. 1 and April 1. The GLCU Scholarship Committee will select and award individual $1,000 scholarships to six students.

"For the past 15 years, GLCU has raised money annually, in large part through employee fundraising efforts, to award scholarships to members continuing their education," said Yvonne Bailey, SVP/COO.

"It is always a difficult selection process because of all the quality applications we receive."

The scholarship program is available to any qualifying member, no matter their age or education level. The funds can be used to help pay tuition, accommodations, books, etc. at colleges of the winners' choice.
