Barrington High grad to speak at Lake Zurich Rotary meeting

Barrington High School grad Courtney Quigley will talk to the Lake Zurich Rotary about motivating Millennials to become passionate about projects of all kinds during a lunch presentation Friday at 12:15 p.m. at the Foglia YMCA, 1025 N. Old McHenry Road, Lower Level, Lake Zurich. Lunch is free to people of all ages who work or live in Lake Zurich. Contact lzrotary@gmail.com for more information. According to Courtney, the intersection of personal passions and compassion is important to everyone. However, the Millennial generation seems to have taken a unique liking to this intersection and this talk will give the tools to partner and engage Millennials with any organization, business or nonprofit. Quigley is a sophomore at New York University majoring nonprofit organization management and minoring in Spanish. Quigley and her family have been traveling internationally doing service work since she was 10 years old. Four years ago, she organized fellow students at Barrington High to help people living near a dump in Guatemala. Quigley and her twin sister co-founded Hope's In, an organization that builds homes, runs medical clinics and sports camps in Guatemala.
