COD to Host Free Salsa/Merengue/Bachata Dance Feb. 12

The College of DuPage Latin American Studies Committee and Casa de Amigos Spanish Club will host a free evening of Latin dancing during the Salsa/Merengue/Bachata Dance on Friday, Feb. 12, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Student Services Center (SSC), Room 1200, on the College's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., in Glen Ellyn.

This event is free and open to the public.

During the evening, attendees will receive free Salsa/Merengue/Bachata dance lessons from 7 to 8 p.m. followed by a DJ and open dancing from 8 to 10 p.m. Refreshments will be served throughout the evening.

The Latin American Studies Committee at College of DuPage aims to promote understanding and appreciation of Latin American countries and cultures through field trips, lectures and the performing arts.

Open to COD students, faculty, staff and community members, the Casa de Spanish Club is geared toward learning and experiencing Hispanic heritage through cultural excursions and open discussion.
