Pedestrian struck and killed near Antioch Wal-Mart

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed last night in Antioch near Wal-Mart, the Lake County coroner's office said. The crash happened about 5:15 p.m. across the street from the store. A man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, Chief Deputy Coroner Orlando Portillo said. Full story.

Naperville man accused of immigration fraud posts bond

A Naperville man accused of immigration fraud has posted bond, according to federal authorities. Lu Lin, 58, of the 4200 block of Colton Circle, faces one count of obtaining citizenship or naturalization unlawfully.
