Barrington, Catlow team to show Oscar-nominated short films

Barrington-area movie lovers will have insider access next month to two of the most compelling and hardest to see Oscar-nominated film categories - Best Animated Short Film and Best Live Action Short Film - when the Barrington Cultural Commission and The Catlow Theater team up for a pair of special viewings.

Viewings of all 10 films nominated in the two categories will be held at noon (animated shorts) and 2 p.m. (live action shorts) on both Feb. 20 and Feb. 27, at the Catlow, 116 W. Main St., Barrington. There will be a brief intermission between the animated and live action showings, allowing moviegoers to purchase snacks and take a break.

There are a limited number of seats available at the theater for this special event, so plan to purchase your tickets early. Tickets are $10 each and are available at the Catlow Theater and Baloney's Restaurant Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. or online at www.thecatlow.com.
