Hersey improv show back by popular demand

By popular demand, John Hersey High School will reprise its winter improv show "ComedySportz: Three Times A Charm."

The 7 p.m. performance runs from Thursday, Jan. 28, through Saturday, Jan. 30, at Hersey High School's theater, 1900 E. Thomas St. in Arlington Heights. Improvisation allows a different show every night, meaning each performance will be unique.

Based on audience suggestions, two teams improvise their way to fight for audience laughs.

Directed by Lara Becker, in conjunction with Chicago's ComedySportz, students are trained in the specific theatrical form of improvisation.

Cast members are seniors Caleigh O'Neil, Jamie Ziah, Andrew Song, Michael Haussman, Louie Simbajon, Morgan Buckley, Branimir Maximav, Emmett Kelly, Danny Wolf, Patrick Lifka, Luci Schmidt, and May Napora; juniors Ronan Collins, Nathan Horne and Collin Mallers; and sophomores Theo Brown and Rita Moujoukian.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance by calling (847) 718-4888.
