Clancy & Associates to Host Informed Parent Series Event Featuring Expert Speech Pathologist

Clancy & Associates, Ltd. will host Dr. Leona Hubatch on January 26th for an event entitled "Apraxia of Speech and Oral-Motor Speech Disorders: Treatment Plans and Home Program." The presentation is part of the not-for-profit Informed Parent Series's Spring Presentations.

Clancy & Associates started the series to help parents of children with special needs acquire the sophisticated research and information they need to better advocate and represent their children. Clancy & Associates is a law firm focusing on special needs planning.

"We started the Informed Parent Series to help empower parents with unique, relevant in-depth information like the insight that Dr. Hubatch will provide."

Dr. Leona Hubatch of the West Suburban Speech Clinic has had many years of experience treating children with Oral-Motor Speech Disorders. She has presented the topic of Apraxia multiple times to speech pathologists and to parent groups. After an overview, Dr. Hubatch will present cases of past patients and corresponding treatment plans and provide a practical framework and treatment examples to patients of this special population.

The event will be held on Tuesday, January 26th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Oak Brook Park District, Canterbury Room/Family Recreation Building located at 1450 Forest Gate Road, in Oak Brook, Illinois. There is no fee to attend, but advance registration is requested.

The next event in the Informed Parent Series will be hosted February 16th and will be "Legal and Financial Planning for Children with Special Needs" with Katie Clancy, Attorney at Law, and a certified financial planner.
