One injured in Lakemoor crash

Route 120 was reduced to one lane for about two hours Monday after a semi-truck hit a parked pickup truck about 6 a.m., authorities said.

A disabled pickup truck pulling a trailer was stopped in the far right eastbound lane of Route 120 when the trailerless semi-truck hit the vehicle near Lily Lake Road, Lakemoor Police Sgt. Rodney Erb said.

The driver of the semi-truck was slightly injured in the crash, and was taken to the hospital and later released, Erb said.

The driver of the pickup truck was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The accident caused two lanes on eastbound Route 120 to be closed until 8 a.m., Erb said. Eastbound drivers were able to get past the crash by driving on the center median, Erb said.

The delay in getting lanes reopened was due to the number of tow trucks needed to remove the vehicles, Erb said. He added the crash caused engine liquids to be spilled, and clean up crews had trouble with the clean up due to the cold.
