Bartlett man charged with molesting 8-year-old

A Bartlett man was ordered held on $100,000 bail on charges he sexually abused an 8-year-old girl over 10 months in 2008.
Jorge Pineda, 34, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison.
The girl reported the abuse in 2014, triggering a police investigation, said Cook County assistant state's attorney David Mennie. Police arrested Pineda Jan. 14 in Hanover Park.
Cook County Judge Jill Cerone Marisie ordered Pineda have no contact with the girl or anyone under age 18. He next appears in court on Feb. 5.
