St. Charles Public Library to offer free genealogy workshop

The St. Charles Public Library is offering a free genealogy workshop for genealogists and amateur photographers trying to organize their photos.

"Going Digital: Photo Management for Genealogists" will be offered at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, in the library's Carnegie Community Room, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

Genealogist Caron Brennan will discuss methods of effectively organizing digital photos, digitalizing old photos, organizing and labeling, photo management software and photo sharing sources.

Brennan is a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild and a Professional Member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and has been speaking at libraries and genealogical societies for the past several years.
