'Rising stars' to perform concert

The Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra's acclaimed Chamber Music Institute presents an impressive roster of "rising star" musicians, performing as the Maud Powell String Quartet and the Sterling Brass Quintet.

The concert will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, in the gallery at Dellora A Norris Cultural Arts Center, 1040 Dunham Road in St. Charles.

The gallery provides an intimate setting for you to enjoy the passion and precision of these young virtuosos playing timeless classical chamber works.

Admission is $15 or $10 for children younger than 12 years of age.
