Vanderbilt adds Cameron Norcross as offensive line coach

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason has hired Cameron Norcross to oversee the Commodores' offensive line.

The Commodores announced the hiring Wednesday.

Mason says Norcross is a fantastic recruiter and teacher with a blue-collar mentality.

Norcross spent the past four years at Fresno State coaching the offensive line, and that line gave up just 11 sacks in 13 games in 2013 when the Bulldogs won the Mountain West Conference title in 2013 and tied the school record for wins. Guard Cody Wichmann was drafted by St. Louis in the sixth round of the 2015 draft, and Left tackle Austin Wentworth played in seven games for Minnesota in 2014 as an undrafted free agent.

Norcross also worked 11 years at his alma mater Nevada where he coached the offensive line for nine seasons.
