Police seeking help in solving Hanover Park armed robbery

Hanover Park police are seeking the public's help in locating two men who robbed a pawnshop at gunpoint Tuesday night.

Police said on the department's Facebook page the men robbed the Cash America Pawn Shop, located in the 1600 block of West Irving Park Road, at about 6:49 p.m. Tuesday.

According to police, one of the men entered the store, held up a black handgun and announced the robbery. The second man used a white, baton-style weapon to smash out a glass jewelry counter and removed various items from the case, police said.

Anyone with information about the holdup or who knows the identity of the robbers is asked to call police at (630) 823-5500.
