Renowned flute-and-guitar duo to perform at Harper Jan. 22

Cavatina Duo, which New Yorker Magazine referred to as "generally considered to be the best" of flute-and-guitar duos, will bring their unconventional combination of instruments to Harper College. The pair will put on a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, in the Performing Arts Center on the College's main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.

Featuring Eugenia Moliner on flute and Denis Azabagic on guitar, Cavatina Duo has performed in venues and festivals around the world including Ravinia and the Harris Theater in Chicago, Da Camera Society (Los Angeles), Aix-en-Provence Summer Festival (France), National Concert Hall of Taipei (Taiwan), National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing (China), Kolkata International Guitar Festival (India), Foundation Principe Felipe and Palau de la Musica (Spain). Their performances also broadcast on WFMT, NPR and around the world.

The event is part of the College's Cultural Arts Concert Series featuring guest artists. Admission is $7 to $10 and free for children 12 years and under.
