Palatine Township Extends Hours of Operation to Better Serve Residents

In an effort to become accessible to more of its residents, Palatine Township will be extending their hours of operation in the beginning of February, 2016.

Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson said the change is very much in line with the Township's core mission.

"Our entire function is to maximize program and service offerings for all of our residents," Langlotz-Johnson said. "By extending our hours past 4 p.m. on Mondays, we will be much more accessible, especially to those who have to work during the day and can't make it here before we close."

On Mondays (with the exception of national holidays) the Township will be open, starting February 1, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Transportation Services, which provide discounted bus rides for the elderly and disabled, will move back their final drop-off time from 3:00 p.m. on Mondays, to 6:00 p.m. More information can be found here: www.palatinetownship.com/transportation.

Monday Food Pantry Hours also will be adjusted. New hours will be from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Hours on other days of the week will remain the same, which can be found here: www.palatinetownship.com/foodpantry.

Services that Township residents will now be able to access later in the day on Mondays include the purchase of county vehicle stickers, assessor services, voter registration, notary services, transportation scheduling, accessing information about General Assistance, and more.

The changes, Langlotz-Johnson said, will allow the Township to better serve, more of its residents.

The Palatine Township Center is located at 721 S. Quentin Road in Palatine. For more information about all of the services provided by the Township, visit their website at www.palatinetownship.com.
