Lake County economic forecast set

LAKE FOREST - The Lake County Chamber of Commerce presents its ninth annual Forecast Lake County Luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Forest Club, 554 N. Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest. The keynote speaker is William Strauss, senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The event also features business forecasts from Aaron Lawlor, chair of the Lake County Board; Michael Stevens, president and CEO of the Lake County Partners; and Dr. Jerry Weber, president of the College of Lake County.

"This luncheon is one of the Lake County Chamber's most popular events each year," said Stewart Kerr, executive director of LCCC. "Hundreds of business owners and public officials attend to learn what to expect in the year's economic climate. This event is unique in that we get a local look at education, the not-for-profit sector of business and the overall macro view of the nation's economy."

The annual Forecast Lake County event provides business and government leaders of Lake County a chance to examine the issues, challenges and opportunities in the coming year. The luncheon is open to all; members, nonmembers and business students.
