Reach for the stars at astronomy nights
Astronomy nights at Volo Bog State Natural Area in Ingleside are held the third Friday of the month, with the next session scheduled for Jan. 15. The Lake County Astronomical Society holds its regular monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m., with an brief open business meeting followed by a free public astronomy program at about 7:45 p.m. Star viewing begins about 8:45 p.m. New members are welcome. Guests are encouraged to join in viewing many astronomical objects using members' binoculars and telescopes.
