Dining events: Chef Amaury hosts pop-up dinner at Naperville's Tango Grill

Pop-up dinner with style

After a brief hiatus, chef Amaury Rosado is back with a pop-up dinner - a five-course event at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Naperville's Tango Grill. Courses include seared sea scallops, Japanese sweet potato soup, pan-roasted fluke, wild boar tenderloin and chocolate tres leches. Amaury plans on offering other pop-up events around Naperville, Aurora and Chicago in the coming months to test out new menu items. The dinner costs $65 per person (tax and gratuity not included). Soup-a-palooza all month long

As the weather gets colder, warm up with a bowl of soup at suburban Tuscany Restaurants during National Soup Month. Have a hankering for pancakes? Then you're in luck as suburban IHOP restaurants have brought back the all-you-can-eat pancake deal now through Feb. 14. Order either five buttermilk pancakes or a short stack of two pancakes with a combo plate of eggs, hash browns and a choice of breakfast meats to partake in the all-you-can-eat special.
