Dirty Dozen Brass Band to perform Feb. 13 at Prairie Center

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band will perform at the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13.

The world famous brass band from New Orleans rolls into Schaumburg for a post Mardi Gras celebration - Dirty Dozen style.

A self-described "big old musical gumbo," the band has earned accolades, awards and fans for its genre-bending romps and high-octane performances. The band has performed with David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Modest Mouse, the Black Crowes, and has been nominated for four Best of the Beat Awards by Offbeat magazine.

Tickets for The Dirty Dozen Brass Band are $38 ($36 for seniors and students) and can be ordered online at www.prairiecenter.org or by calling 847-895-3600. The Prairie Center is located at 201 Schaumburg Court in Schaumburg.

This program is sponsored by the Prairie Center Arts Foundation and WDCB 90.9 (media sponsor).
