Connor & Gallagher Insurance Agency Acquires Technology Firm OneSourceHR

Connor & Gallagher Insurance Services, a rapidly growing, full-service insurance agency serving more than 1,000 business clients in the Chicagoland area, today announced it has acquired Burr Ridge-based OneSourceHR, a pioneer in the development of a "paperless" HR technology platform that significantly streamlines the administration of payroll, employee benefits and a variety of employment-related functions.

Terms of the acquisition, which includes OneSourceHR's OneSource Benefits Group subsidiary, were not disclosed.

According to Connor & Gallagher President Tom Connor, "This combination provides us with a significant competitive advantage in the marketplace for several reasons. First, our clients have demanded more extensive and integrated services from us, and with the acquisition of OneSourceHR we can now offer clients a powerful digital HR platform that integrates all the employment-related administrative functions into an easy-to-use 'HR dashboard'," he explained. Second, when combined with our Property & Casualty (P&C) Risk and Business Insurance and Employee Benefits Brokerage Services, clients can optimize their operations by adopting a 'one-stop' solution for all their insurance and HR administration needs."

Robert Wagner, founder of OneSourceHR and who will lead the newly formed division of Connor & Gallagher, said the rapidly changing dynamics of the healthcare industry have created a tremendous market need for a simplified, streamlined solution for human resources administration. "With the confusion created by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), small to medium-sized businesses are searching for a cost-effective solution that helps them understand the myriad of plans and options available to them and more efficiently manage the delivery of employment-related functions to their employees," he said.

Wagner noted that the complex requirements of health plan compliance and reporting under the ACA have been rapidly evolving and present a variety of challenges for employers, and opportunities for companies like OneSource. "What sets OneSourceHR apart from our competitors is that in addition to providing the client with a state-of-the-art HR Information System, our staff of professionals perform the bulk of the work for our clients, freeing them up to focus on more productive business activity," he said. "We can 'on-board' a new employee in a matter of minutes, a process which currently takes many employers hours to complete after logging on to multiple web sites."

Wagner added that OneSourceHR will work closely with Connor & Gallagher's Benefits Services Division to market OneSourceHR's digital suite of HR services. "These are exciting times and we're very well positioned to capitalize on the new market demands," said Luke Barnett, Practice Leader for the Benefits Services Division.

Connor & Gallagher also announced that it recently moved to new corporate headquarters in the Corporetum Office Campus in Lisle. According to President Tom Connor, the new office facilities allow the company to provide enhanced services to its customers. "In addition to expanded office and meeting space, we've built a state-of-the-art training facility that allows us to hold training sessions, valuable seminars and client networking events for our customers and staff," he said. "We think it's a great addition to our services offerings and provides added convenience to our customers."

The company's new offices are located at 750 Warrenville Road, Suite 400, in Lisle, Illinois, 60532. For more information contact the company at 630-810-9100 or visit them online at www.congalins.com.
