Thesix Chamber Ensemble to celebrate Mozart's birthday with Jan. 10 program

On Sunday, Jan. 10, the Thesix Chamber Ensemble will be playing pieces by Amadeus Wolfgang Mozart in honor of his birthday, which is Jan. 27, 1756, as part of Gail Borden Public Library's "Music in the Stacks."

The concert will be at 2 p.m. at the library's Rakow Branch, 2751 W. Bowes Road in Elgin. Bring the family to celebrate Mozart's 260th birthday, listen to the diversity and richness of chamber music and learn about the 18th-century composer too.

A portion of the program will be a music education event for kids. All ages are welcome to this free event.

For information, call (847) 531-7271 or visit www.gailborden.info.
