Issues show decline of education in America

I commend your courage in printing the Dec. 26 letter of Teri Paulson, who commented on your editorial position regarding the "transgender" student in High School District 211.

Like her, I am concerned about the fact that, if it has to be explained, it may too late for our society. Objective truth exists by itself and for itself regardless of how we human beings may be confounded about it.

I can't believe a radio show host today talked about his recent discussion with a group of college students who thought that the destruction of the World Trade Center on 9-11-01 was due to George Bush and our military invading Iraq!

The invasion took place after 9/11 and was a cause of the invasion.

Is it too late for our post-secondary education system as well?
