Gun-free zones just help the bad guys
Inger Burrows clearly shows her view that guns are evil in her Dec. 19 Opinion page letter where she said "If the two terrorists hadn't had guns there wouldn't be 14 people dead and 21 people wounded."
There also wouldn't be 14 people dead and 21 people wounded if some of the law abiding people attending the event had guns. But that was prohibited because the facility was a "gun free zone."
So the only people who could have guns there were bad guys. How did that "gun free zone" law work out for the people who were there?
The bad guys will always get guns. I don't understand why the anti-gunners think they will make us safer by going after the good guys and restricting the law-abiding citizens. The bad guys won't obey your gun laws.
