Palatine village council to consider liquor store plan

The Palatine village council is expected to vote Monday on a plan to build a liquor store in the Lake Cook Commons strip mall, 2387 N. Hicks Road.

According to village documents, the proposed store would be called Quick Liquors and be open from 10 a.m. to midnight.

The plan has been a long time coming. The village council approved a version of the liquor store plan in May 2013, but the petitioner didn't end up opening the business.

The village plan commission voted unanimously to recommend the plan's approval during a meeting in December.

The village council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, at the Palatine Police Department, 595 N. Hicks Rd.
