The Chicago Bears defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-21 with the Bears defense forcing 3 turnovers while the offense held onto the ball in the game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
Bears inside linebacker Jonathan Anderson forced Bucs running back Doug Martin to fumble twice with inside linebacker John Timu recovering both of them.
With a strategy of running the ball and short passes, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler controlled the game by throwing 20/26 completions for 156 yards and 1 TD.
Bears running back Ka'Deem Carey scored 2 TD's on the day, with his last TD coming from a 1-yard pass to give the team a 20-14 lead on the first play of the fourth quarter.
Tampa Bay's rookie quarterback Jameis Winston threw for 2 TD's but also threw an interception to the Bears' Harold Jones-Quartey, the first of his career.
Bears field goal kicker Robbie Gould kicked 4 field goals on the day with the final points from 50- and 39-yards.
