Aurora CC takes consolation title at Oswego East

Aurora Central Catholic 49, Joliet Central 29: All-tournament selection Taylor Harazin scored 11 points, while Gina Cortino and Alex Johnston added 10 each to lead the Chargers (10-6) to the consolation championship at the Oswego East tournament. ACC held Joliet's Monica Barefield, an Alcorn State recruit, to just 6 points.

Jacobs 41, West Aurora 33: Nicole Durben had 14 points and Kerri Healy added 12 to lead Jacobs (5-9) at the Wheaton North tournament. Talia Surges added 9 points for the Golden Eagles. Ashley Williams had 8 points for West Aurora (7-6).

Elk Grove 50, Elgin 47: Also at Wheaton North, Lakiya Harvey scored 19 points, Tianna Stewart 10 and Alisha Panthier 8 for Elgin (1-13).

Hampshire 50, Hinckley-Big Rock 19: In the opening round of the Lisle Holiday Classic, Nikki Dumoulin (11 points), Emma Benoit (10) and Rachel Dumoulin (9) led the Whip-Purs (10-3) to the easy win.

St. Edward 62, Walther Christian 42: Madelyn Spagnola struck for 26 points and Katelyn Castoro added 16 to lead the Green Wave (8-2) to the win at Lisle.

Streamwood 57, Highland Park 54: All-tournament selection Jenejha Williams scored 23 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and had 4 blocks to lead the Sabres (2-12) to their second straight win at the Mundelein tournament. Monica Brown added 8 points for the winners.

Larkin 55, Wheeling 52: Marlee Kyles scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds, while Shawniece Colen Douglas added 17 points and 10 rebounds for Larkin (6-11). Sarah El Rahmany contributed 10 points for the Royals.

Morton 55, South Elgin 51: Tegan Pompa had 22 points and Mackie Kelleher 14 but the Storm (7-5) fell in the second round of pool play at the Riverside-Brookfield tournament.

Ridgewood 63, Westminster Christian 50: Maddie Versluys (14 points, 9 rebounds, 7 steals), Elise VanNoord (14 points) and Keely Frens (11 points, 5 rebounds) led Westminster (6-10) in the third place game at the Guerin tournament. Versluys was named to the all-tournament team.
