Wheaton College not very Christian
Earlier this year, Wheaton College removed the name of Dennis Hastert, the troubled former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, from its school of government and public policy.
Now Wheaton has suspended Professor Larycia Hawkins for reaching out to Muslims.
These recent decisions by the school serve only to reinforce long-standing stereotypes that we Christians are intolerant, unforgiving, and lacking in compassion. More importantly, they do not advance the cause and kingdom of our resurrected Savior, Jesus Christ.
