$100 to buy toiletries for needy children

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Todd Weingardt of Northbrook.

Here is an excerpt of his story:

"My wife, Ivy, works as a special education teacher in a financially strapped area where the children's families struggle to buy basic things such as toothpaste for their children. My wife spends money out of her own pocket for her students. It would be nice for her to have the $100 to buy the children toiletries that they desperately need."

• The Believe Project is awarding $100 each day in December to a different person with a good idea for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else.
