Train delayed after body found near Metra tracks in Glen Ellyn

A body was found by train tracks in Glen Ellyn Saturday night, a Metra spokesman and police said.

Police held Metra train No. 511 on the Union Pacific West Line about 30 minutes after a freight train operator reported the body "on or near the tracks" between stations in Glen Ellyn and College Avenue in Wheaton, Metra spokesman Tom Miller said.

Police said investigators were trying to identify the person.
