Before and After School Care now available at Addison Elementary Schools

The Addison Park District is happy to announce that the Before & After School Program is moving into the schools beginning Tuesday, January 5, 2016! The Park District is working cooperatively with Addison School District #4 who will provide space at some of the schools to host the Before & After school program.

Beginning January 5, 2016, the program will be in three of the schools with the intention of adding more locations during the 2016-2017 school year. By moving before and after school care from Park District facilities into the schools, transportation of students will be greatly reduced.

When students enroll in this program through the Park District, parents are able to drop off and pick up their child at the school. The before-school program provides a breakfast snack, group games, crafts and activities starting at 7:00 a.m. The after-school care program provides an afternoon snack, homework time, group games, crafts and activities between 3:00 - 6:15 p.m.

Before and After School Care will be available in the following locations:

Before & After School - Stone School (Stone & Wesley students)

Before & After School - Army Trail School (Army Trail, Lake Park & Lincoln students)

Before & After School- Fullerton School (Fullerton & Ardmore students)

"With this new opportunity and change in location we are hoping we will be able to serve more students and are excited about the opportunity to grow our program to make it more convenient for our families," states Kelly Sisco, Addison Park District program supervisor. "Our program will still be structured in the same way (as it was in Park District facilities) however allowing more time for snacks, homework time, sports, games and crafts by cutting down time spent transporting many of the kids to and from their schools. We are excited about the opportunity to serve families better and are pleased to be working with Addison School District #4."
