Safety Brandon Meriweather inactive for NY against Dolphins

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) - Safety Brandon Meriweather is inactive for the New York Giants because of a knee injury.

Meriweather had been limited in practice last week and listed as questionable for Monday night's game at Miami. Craig Dahl was to start for Meriweather.

Giants defensive end Robert Ayers was active after sitting out practice last week with a neck injury.

Defensive tackle Earl Mitchell was active for Miami after being limited last week with a calf injury.

Dolphins defensive tackle Deandre Coleman was added to the active roster, and tight end Brandon Williams was placed reserved-injured. Miami was awarded former Giants defensive end Damontre Moore off waivers, and he will join the team Tuesday.
