ECC grads recognized in commencement ceremonies

For the first time in its history, Elgin Community College held two fall graduation ceremonies.

Dressed in their caps and gowns Saturday, students received their associate degrees in disciplines such as fine arts, science and liberal studies. Later Saturday afternoon, the college awarded degrees and skill certificates to students in career and technical programs.

Graduates Catalina Restrepro, of Hanover Park, and Richard Ceh, of Huntley, delivered commencement speeches.
