LifeSource's 'Triple Your Giving' supports Northern Illinois Food Bank
LifeSource kicked off the holiday season by stocking the shelves of hospitals throughout metropolitan Chicago with an adequate supply of blood, while donors helped stock the shelves of the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
LifeSource's annual "Triple Your Giving" initiative resulted in donations totaling nearly $2,000, while those visiting its 18 area community donor centers donated more than 400 pounds of canned food items as they came to make their live-saving blood donations.
As part of its annual "Triple Your Giving" initiative, LifeSource donated $1 to the Northern Illinois Food Bank for every participating donor who visited any of its donor centers or mobile blood drives from Nov. 22-28.
In addition, donors were encouraged to bring a canned food donation as all blood drives and community donor centers were set up to handle these collections.
