$100 to buy winter gear for kids in need

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Monica Glavey of Wauconda.

Here is an excerpt of her story:

"If I had $100, I would go buy hats, gloves, snow pants and winter jackets for little kids at our grade school. Many of these kids can't go outside in the winter because they don't have the money to purchase proper warm clothes."

• The Believe Project is awarding $100 each day in December to a different person with a good idea for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else. Submit your idea in 150 words or fewer at events.dailyherald.com/believe- project.
