Grayslake fire announces Keep the Wreath Red

Grayslake Fire Protection District officials have announced the start of an annual Keep the Wreath Red campaign in an effort to promote holiday safety. At each of district's three fire stations there is a wreath on display with all red lighted bulbs. If there is a fire caused by any holiday decorations, firefighters will replace a red bulb with a white bulb. The campaign will run through New Year's Day. Fire Chief John Christian stresses that working smoke alarms should be on every level of a home.
