I really enjoy the views more than the Cold. I captured this snow scene with my Nikon p530. Matthew Snyder of Elgin
On the morning of the season's first snow, I went for a walk to my favorite place to take photos. These two gazebos are located near a townhouse subdivision built on North Avenue that back up to the Carol Stream water reclamation center. There is a surrounding retention pond and a scenic walking path along the creek. I have plans to make a series of photos of this same location across different seasons and weather. This photo reflects the snowy morning. I could not get the camera settings to pick up the heavy falling snow. When I got home, I used a program called "Snow Daze" to add some falling snow to the photo. I wanted the end result to reflect what I actually saw outside that the camera did not record. Angela Cichosz of Carol Stream
The photo was taken at the Morton Arboretum on Nov. 22nd while viewing their "Grand Illumination" with our granddaughters. The variety of colors there were breathtaking. Allen Panek of Naperville
