Barrington Countryside Fire accepting Toys for Tots donations

The Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District will accept donations for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program at its fire stations through Dec. 15.

"We believe strongly in supporting those who need help - especially during the holidays," Barrington Countryside Fire Capt. Angela Grandgeorge said in a news release. "The Toys for Tots program is an excellent way to spread good cheer to those who need it most. We encourage our residents to help us make a difference in someone's life."

Toy donations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every weekday through Dec. 15. The district's fire stations are located at 22222 N. Pepper Road in Lake Barrington and 120 W. Algonquin Road in Barrington Hills.

Donated toys will be distributed as gifts to less fortunate children who live in the surrounding areas.
