67th annual National Bird Show comes to Pheasant Run Resort

The National Bird Show will host its 67th Annual Show at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles on Dec. 4-5.

The opening ceremony will be at 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, with judging at 8:15 a.m. The bird sale room will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Mega Center. The show hall opens for the general public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Avicultural Society of Chicagoland Bird Fair is open for guests from noon to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the St. Charles Ballroom. The Pet Bird Show will be 11 a.m. to noon in the Mega Center.

The show will feature 19 divisions of exotic birds including canaries, finches and parrots which will compete for a variety of awards over the weekend.

The show also features many other activities including a bird sale room, a bird fair area with vendors offering a variety of exotic birds and accessories, a Museum Exhibit of the National Bird Show, a pet bird exhibition and an indoor aviary of birds on display.

The National Bird Show will feature some of the best exotic birds from around the country. These birds are all competing to win their divisions. The public is welcome to attend the show. Note that viewing on Friday may be limited during judging. Visit www.ncbs.org.
