Christian Liberty falls short North Shore

Christian Liberty came up short in nonconference boys basketball home opener in a 57-39 decision against visiting North Shore Country Day on Tuesday.

Sophomore guard Jesse Castro paced the Chargers (0-5) with 14 points and canned three 3-pointers. Senior Jordan Pratscher had pair of 3s and finished with 8 points.

Schaumburg Christian 50, Elgin Academy 40: Michael Petrella scored a game-high 23 points and teammate Tyler Keller had 14 to help the Conquerors (1-1) to their first win of the season.
