'Tis the Season for Real Urban Barbecue's Holiday Carryout Menu

This season, Real Urban Barbecue is making your holiday stress-free by preparing the full spread for you with a convenient carryout menu available for "heat and eat" and "hot and ready to serve" pickup options on Wednesday, December 23, Thursday, December 24, Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1 at any of their three locations in Downtown Highland Park (610 Central Ave #177), Vernon Hills (1260 S. Milwaukee Ave) and at their newest location in Oak Brook (2119 Clearwater Drive).

Carry out menu options include fresh, whole smoked meats: Whole Smoked Michigan Turkey Breast - Boneless, $49 (averages 5 lbs.); Sliced Smoked Michigan Turkey Breast, $13/lb.; Turkey Gravy, $4.95/pint; 14-Hour Smoked & Sliced Brisket- includes au jus, $15/lb.; Whole Smoked Char-Crusted Beef Tenderloin with creamy horseradish sauce & red wine demi-glace, $135 (averages 5 lbs.); Slow-Smoked Prime Rib - Boneless with creamy horseradish sauce & red wine demi-glace, $140 half order (averages 7 lbs.) | $275 whole order (averages 15 lbs.); Smoked Side of Atlantic Salmon- smoked whole, skin on, served with dill crème fraiche, $69 (averages 3-4 lbs.); Smoked Boneless Leg of Lamb- includes au jus, $98 (averages 6-7 lbs.); Whole Smoked Bone-In Pork Loin, $62 (averages 5 lbs.); Sliced Smoked Ham with stone ground mustard glaze, $49 half pan | $79 full pan.

Tasty appetizers to add to your plate include: Mini Potato Pancakes, $1 each; Homemade Potato Pierogi with Grilled Onions, $9/dozen; Chilled Shrimp Cocktail with lemon wedges & cocktail sauce, $36/dozen; Bacon Wrapped Shrimp wrapped in applewood bacon, caramelized in our original BBQ sauce, $36/dozen.

Serving sizes are as follows: Half pan feeds 8-12 people, and a Full pan feeds 16-20 people

Holiday Hotline

Guests may call the Real Urban Barbecue Holiday Hotline at 847-861-1190 to place their carry out order. Guests who reach the voicemail should leave a message and a Real Urban BBQ representative will return the call to confirm the order. All orders must be placed a minimum of 48 hours in advance of pick up.

Carry out options include "Heat and Eat", beat the crowds and save time by picking up early and refrigerate until you're ready to serve, and "Hot and Ready to Serve". Pick up dates and times are as follows:

• Wednesday, December 23 for "Heat and Eat". All locations will be open regular business hours for pick up.

• Thursday, December 24 for "Hot and Ready to Serve". All locations will be open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. for order pick up.

• Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1 for your choice of "Heat and Eat" or "Hot and Ready to Serve". All locations will be open until 9 p.m. both days for pick up.

Prices are subject to change. Real Urban Barbecue may not be able to accommodate orders or changes made less than 48 hours in advance of pick up. Orders that are not picked up will be charged 50 percent of the total bill.
