3rd man charged with murder in Chicago triple homicide

CHICAGO (AP) - Authorities say a third person has been charged in connection with a shooting that killed three people at a barbecue party near a Chicago playground in September.

Eighteen-year-old Calvan Colbert faces three counts of first-degree murder among other felonies in the Sept. 29 shooting. Two other men were charged last month in the shooting, 20-year-old Anthony Jackson and 22-year-old Lawrence Brown. They were ordered held without bail.

Colbert didn't have a listed phone number and it wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney who could speak on his behalf. The Chicago Tribune reports he was to appear in bond court later Monday.

The victims were 22-year-old Ayanna Northern, 25-year-old Antian Hardmon and 29-year-old Tyrone Spikes. Two other people were wounded in the same shooting.
