CLC Foundation scholarships top $900,000
College of Lake County Foundation awarded more than $900,000 in scholarships to 509 students in the last year, according to Executive Director Karen L. Schmidt. The foundation provides an annual overview of its work to CLC board trustees. Schmidt said the foundation raised $1.2 million last year, and its endowment balance is now $1.3 million. She said the foundation has a goal of raising $1 million each year to fund scholarships and to increase its endowment to $2 million by 2020.
