Celebrate Disney's birthday with Rocket Fizz St. Charles festival and fundraiser

Store owner Robert Brescia and store manager Deanna Brescia invite you to come celebrate Walt Disney's 114th birthday at their St. Charles location with Rocket Fizz and O-Zell soda on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

O-Zell soda was originally started by Elias Disney, Walt's father, and Brescia's Rocket Fizz stores in St. Charles and Glenview have this hard-to-find soda!

The first 25 people to purchase a case of O-Zell soda will receive a special gift.

Select from four varieties:

• The creamy tropical twist of Pineapple Whip!

• The sophisticated fruity sass of Cherry Jubilee!

• The rich nostalgic fizz of Root Beer Float!

• The velvety elegance of Vanilla Dream!

Attendees will meet Disney Legends and enjoy arts and crafts.

Chicago's premier magician, Adam Sean also will be on hand with a performance guaranteed to blow your mind.

Also, in honor of Walt's birthday, Rocket Fizz St. Charles, 301 W. Main St., will be open late until 8 p.m. For details, call (630) 797-5889.

Tickets are required for the Walt Disney birthplace fundraiser.

After the festival, join O-Zell Soda for a culinary indulgence: The O-Zell Soda Pairing, Cocktail Party and Walt Disney Birthplace Fundraiser at Shakou St. Charles, which is located just west and within easy walking distance from Rocket Fizz, from 5 to 7 p.m.

At a tantalizing quartet of sushi-and-soda stations, you'll enjoy a substantial appetizer selection. Partake at more potent portables at the bar! And you'll be able to bid on rare Disney memorabilia and one-of-a-kind art pieces at a silent auction table.

Each guest will also receive a special collectible O-Zell pin.

Tickets are just $45 per person and both ticket sales and the silent auction proceeds will benefit the Center for Early Childhood Creativity at the Walt Disney Birthplace, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
