Rolling Meadows tree-lighting Thursday
As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, the city of Rolling Meadows will hold a tree-lighting ceremony with Santa, a fireworks show and a free spaghetti dinner during the early evening of Thursday, Dec. 3.
The tree-lighting ceremony, with seasonal treats and giveaways, will be held at 6 p.m. at the McDonald's at 3140 Kirchoff Road.
The fireworks will begin at 6:20 p.m., viewable from either the McDonald's parking lot or the downtown fire station at 3111 Meadow Drive.
The spaghetti dinner, while supplies last, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the fire station on Meadow Drive. Santa's elves and reindeer also will be there at the same time.
