Learn about safer passage for birds

Annette Prince, director of Chicago Bird Collision Monitors, will speak about safer passages for migratory birds at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, during the Lake County Audubon Society meeting at Libertyville village hall, 118 W. Cook Ave. Prince will discuss a program created to address the problem of birds dying due to collisions with buildings during nights of heavy migration. The project raises awareness, educates and advocates for bird safety measures. Prince is a member of the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association. She began working with the Chicago Bird Collision Monitors project in 2004, became director in 2005 and is an officer on the board of Chicago Audubon Society.
