Celebrate the season & the Mistletoe Market

Families and gift seekers alike are invited to Cantigny Park for some holiday magic on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 1S151 Winfield Road, Wheaton.

Activities and attractions include the Mistletoe Market from 1 to 7 p.m. Find one-of-a-kind, handcrafted gifts at this festive marketplace of local artisans inside the Cantigny Visitors Center. Explore the Cantigny Shop, too.

Celebrate the Season Holiday Festival takes place from 4 to 7 p.m. and includes seasonal music by the Canterbury Carolers and young musicians from the Community School of the Arts at Wheaton College; visits by Santa and Mrs. Claus; horse-drawn sleigh rides ($2 per person); live reindeer display; children's craft of snowflake sand art bottle necklace (while supplies last); face painting ($3 per person); and holiday treats available in Bertie's Café

In addition, the Robert R. McCormick Museum will host a Holiday Open House, highlighted by Community Trees, the annual display of Christmas trees decorated by local nonprofit groups. Guests can vote for their favorite.

Also at the museum, Mrs. Claus will read children's stories in the historic library under an 18-foot tree decorated by Phillip's Flowers and Gifts.

Activities on Dec. 5 are free, except as noted. Parking is $5 or $2 after 4 p.m. For more information, contact www.cantigny.org.
