Sisters says planning is key to Black Friday

Getting good deals on Black Friday is all about saving and planning, said Imelda Zuniga of Algonquin.

Zuniga and her sister Cecilia Barbosa, who was visiting from Detroit, Michigan, were on their way to lunch on Friday after shopping at Carson Pirie Scott in West Dundee. "We got tired from shopping," joked Barbosa.

The sisters said they bought sweaters, pants, shoes, bags and purses, and planned to head to Ross Dress for Less in the afternoon.

"We don't worry about shopping on Thanksgiving because that's a day for eating," Zuniga said. "Plus, the shoppers aren't going to buy the whole store (on Thanksgiving)."
